Grey-violet mushroom with white pores and violet stalk. |

FRUIT BODY:

Cap 2-6" (5-15cm) wide with velvety surface when young turning smooth and dry, violet to purple when young developing gray and brown tones with age. Stalk 3 1/4 - 4 3/4" (8-12cm) long, 3/8-5/8" (1-1.5cm) thick; smooth. |

Pores whitish developing pink-tannish tones in age; unchanging when bruised; spore print pinkish brown. |
