New Jersey Mycological Association data was used for the research paper mentioned above on fungal diversity in NJ. As citizen scientists, we do not have to understand everything in scientific papers like this, we can concentrate on continuing to collect data and posting into iNaturalist.org or MushroomObserver.org where it is accessible to researchers.
NJMA never stopped our forays or data collection through the 2020-2022 period, but we did restrict attendance to members only, and ceased making recent data available publicly.
